Finds cell line names in English clinical text
What it does
This model detects cell line names in English clinical text, using a BERT backbone with 334M parameters and a maximum sequence length of 512 tokens. It reports an F1 score of 0.82 on a CLL corpus of 2,156 documents, with precision 0.774 and recall 0.872.
Best for
- Cell line mentions in pathology reports
- Entity extraction from oncology notes
- Annotating clinical trial documents
Note on the model card. Cell line name recognition in clinical text (CLL corpus, 2,156 documents; label CL = cell line). The model card's 'chronic lymphocytic leukemia' wording is a misreading of the corpus name; see the OpenMed paper, Table 1.
