Finds cell line names in English clinical text
What it does
This model detects cell line names in English clinical text, using a single fixed label for named-entity recognition. It reports an F1 score of 0.61 on the CLL corpus of 2,156 documents, with a precision of 0.658 and recall of 0.568, and is built on the ModernBERT-large backbone with 396M parameters.
Best for
- Cell line mentions in oncology notes
- Clinical text de-identification preprocessing
- Research on hematologic malignancy records
Note on the model card. Cell line name recognition in clinical text (CLL corpus, 2,156 documents; label CL = cell line). The model card's 'chronic lymphocytic leukemia' wording is a misreading of the corpus name; see the OpenMed paper, Table 1.
