TERMS OF USE – Clinical Corpus website
Last Updated: October 1, 2026.
Welcome to the Clinical Corpus website (hereinafter referred to as the “Platform”).
By registering, subscribing, or using our AI-powered Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) scientific literature search and synthesis tool, you fully agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any provision herein, you must immediately cease all use of the Platform.
1. NATURE OF SERVICE AND MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
1.1. Purpose: The Platform is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tool that utilizes Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology to optimize the search, retrieval, and synthesis of peer-reviewed scientific literature, medical articles, and academic databases.
1.2. Academic Use Only: The service is intended strictly for research, academic study, and professional upskilling of healthcare providers, researchers, developers of AI medical products and services, and scientists.
1.3. Medical Disclaimer: The Platform does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment plans, or clinical guidelines for real-world medical cases. AI-generated summaries do not replace the independent clinical judgment of a qualified healthcare professional. Users must independently verify all retrieved data and information against the original scientific source materials before any practical application.
1.4. Technological Limitations: The user acknowledges that Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI systems may occasionally produce inaccurate data, misinterpret contexts, or display omissions. The Platform is not liable for any clinical decisions made based on its generated outputs.
2. EARLY BIRD PRICING AND EARLY-STAGE SERVICE
2.1. Early Bird Discount: New subscribers currently receive a one-time Early Bird credit applied to their first payment. The exact amount varies by plan and is shown before you confirm your purchase. This is a limited-time offer tied to our early-access phase; the Platform may change or discontinue it at any time without affecting subscriptions already in progress.
2.2. Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically only if the user selects “Auto Renew” at checkout or in their account settings. Otherwise, the subscription simply ends at the close of the period already paid for, with no automatic charge.
2.3. Early-Stage Service: Clinical Corpus is a new platform, launched in September 2026. Many aspects of the Platform — including its features, interface, search limits, and pricing — are still being refined and may be adjusted, improved, or changed as the service matures. The user acknowledges that an early-stage platform evolves faster than an established one.
2.4. System Instabilities: The user accepts that, as an early-stage platform, the system may exhibit temporary downtime, latency, or require scheduled maintenance windows for optimization.
3. PRIVACY, DATA SECURITY, AND PROHIBITION OF PATIENT DATA
3.1. Zero Patient Data Policy: The Platform does not collect, store, process, host, or make available any patient data (such as electronic health records, clinical histories, or examination results).
3.2. Non-Applicability of HIPAA: Because the Platform does not handle, transmit, or process Protected Health Information (PHI), it is not subject to, nor does it require compliance certification under the US Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
3.3. User Obligation and Data Compliance: The user is strictly prohibited from inputting personal data of patients or any third parties into the system’s search fields or prompts. Any violation of this clause will result in immediate account termination without a refund. The user shall be solely and legally liable for any administrative or judicial sanctions arising from local data protection laws (such as GDPR, LGPD, or CCPA) due to misuse of data.
4. SUBSCRIPTION, BILLING, AND CANCELLATION
4.1. Recurring Billing: The service operates on a monthly recurring subscription model. Payment is processed upon initial sign-up and automatically renews every 30 days.
4.2. Cancellation Policy: Users can cancel their subscription at any time via their account dashboard. Cancellation stops the next automated billing cycle, and access will remain active until the end of the currently paid 30-day period.
4.3. Refunds: Due to the infrastructure and computing costs associated with AI processing, partial or pro-rated refunds for remaining days in a billing cycle are not provided, subject to applicable local consumer protection laws.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND PERMITTED USE
5.1. Ownership: All intellectual property rights concerning the software, proprietary RAG algorithms, interface design, code, and trademarks belong exclusively to the Platform.
5.2. Limited License: Users are granted a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to access the system. Users are strictly prohibited from:
- Engaging in reverse engineering, automated data scraping, or attempting to breach security measures.
- Sharing individual login credentials with third parties.
6 Data Integrity and Copyright Compliance
The Platform guarantees that all medical literature, scientific articles, and academic data indexed within our RAG database have been sourced legally. No copyrighted material has been used without proper authorization, licensing, or compliance with fair use and public domain regulations. The Platform does not host, index, or distribute pirated, infringed, or unauthorized intellectual property.
7. MODIFICATIONS AND GOVERNING LAW
7.1. Amendments: The Platform reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time to reflect technical, regulatory, or commercial changes, notifying active users via email or system dashboard.
7.2. Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America – New York, and any legal disputes shall be settled through the AAA – American Arbitration Association, and the ICDR – the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, both located at 20 Broadway, 21st Floor, New York, NY 10271, USA
7.3. Assignment: The Platform may assign or transfer this Agreement, in whole or in part, including the rights and obligations herein, to a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, without requiring your separate consent. This Agreement will remain binding on the parties and their respective successors and permitted assigns. Users may not assign or transfer their own rights or obligations under this Agreement without the Platform’s prior written consent.
